So far we’ve signed Hatem Ben Arfa for £5m and attempted to sign Seb Larsson, Robbie Keane and David Bentley apparently.

Being linked with Karim Ziani, but what we really need is a second choice left back and a striker.

-Defender
- Winger who can cross

There’s also talk of us getting niko kranjcar, which would be a great signing.

To be honest, we would just like to sign Guly Do Prado permanently. Otherwise, just keep everyone, including Oxlade-Chamberlian and Lallana, two coveted players.

Is he actually that good? And is £10 million a ridiculous amount?

Swans have signed Luke Moore (no, not you) but I feel we need another goalscorer.  Also some more depth to the defence, been rumoured to van Aanholt recently which I’d be very happy with.

I have seen a bit of the Oxlade-Chamberlain lad, and heard reports about him, and I am of the opinion that £10m is a big gamble. I doubt it’ll be that much initially anyway, it’ll be dependent on performances and add ons etc.

He’s pretty decent. He has ‘literally’ leaped out from nowhere and out of the youth system and is playing well. £10mil is a stupid amount. Apparently though he’s showing more potential than Walcott did at his age, and he’s scored a few goals from not that many starts…

Ah danke, i played against him about 8 months or so ago and he scored a aht-trick. It’s hard to put it in context though.

Played against him, eh? Nicely done. Everyone one here but me seems to have some sort of claim to fame. I once met Matt le Tissier but I was only 11 and I didn’t understand his status as the world’s awesome-est player. You all have some sort of celebrity-ness.

Did not envy the poor soul who had to mark him. We were trying to impress coaches and scouts but chamberlain ripped him apart.

If Arsenal were to go for a new defender, I’d rather they went for Mat Hummels than Subotic. Hummels is a cracking player… Not too sure about the links with Upson that are cropping up today.

Still think they need another DM to compete with Song too. I doubt we’ll get anyone for either position.

I think that Arsene should go for Samba.

he wants out, I believe his contract is up in the summer and FFS look at the size of him. I realise that he’s probably not an “Arsenal type” of plyer but we have enough of them, can we please have someone that scares the shit out of the oppo

Is he really better than what Arsenal have atm? I’m not too sure on that one. What do you make of the Arshavin out rumours? He seems to be a good player on his day, but doesnt look to ever try or influence the game.

I think the Arshavin out rumours are being blown out of proportion a little. Wouldn’t surprise me if the article transpired from a journalist collecting a load of angry tweets from Arsenal fans after the Ipswich & Leeds games. He’s an easy target at the minute & the stories are a little sensationalist…

His main problem is that Samir Nasri, without doubt our player of the season so far, has rightfully taken his place in the side now that Cesc is back to full fitness. Arshavin is a temperamental fellow, not sure whether he’ll fight for his place to prove his worth, or just sulk & let the fan’s criticism get to him. He’s at his best when he is the centre of attention, & he’s far from deserving of that at the minute…

He has been terrible this season though. Even when he was chipping in with goals & assists, his overall play & effort was shocking. He looks a tenth of the player that signed for Arsenal 2 years ago. He used to be dynamic & direct, he was a ball carrier which is exactly what Arsenal need as we have too many tippy-tappy players. He seems to have lost that all now & has just become a 5th rate tippy-tapper. Which is sad, because I bloody love him… I just hope he can get back to the level he once was.

Demba Ba
Roque Santa Cruz
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Pablo Mouche
Steve Sidwell
Robbie Keane
Yakubu
Adam Hammill
Pascal Feindouno

Denni Avdic
Carlos Kameni

And yet the only likely piece of business is Valon Behrami’s move to Fiorentina.

Steven Pienaar ‘to sign for major European club’.

Announcement to be made within next 48 hours. Are Sky actually trying to hype this up?!

It also says talks broke down with Chelsea, so it will appear it’s not them he’s signing for. Seems like he’s heading back to the continent. Who do we reckon it is? I don’t know why, but I have a feeling it might be Bayern Munich. No real reasoning behind it, just a gut feeling… or maybe Juventus.

Because the missing link in a team featuring Pato, Cassano, Robinho and Ibrahimovic is Steven Pienaar. Unbelievable.

Absolutely. It’s no coincidence our worst performances of the season coincide with him & Bendtner are both in the team. (Incidentally Bendtner & Eboue down the right hand side is suicidal…)

I wouldn’t sell him, for sentimental & footballing reasons. There’s only really Nasri who can play wide left. Theo is untested & Vela is shit. Who else could do a job out there?

I’d rather see Bendtner & Denilson leave before Stuart Little.

GARGH… Don’t wanna hijack this with non-transfer talk. The excellent Young Guns blog has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but no moves towards a transfer have been made… yet.

Looks like this could possibly happen. Rumour has it the kid is a big Arsenal fan…

Why would Busquets leave his boyhood club (who his father also played for), who are the greatest club team in the world, managed by his hero and greatest supporter (who arguably he owes all his medals to) to compete with Anderson for a place in midfield?

Just asking

The list of players West Ham have been linked to (apart from Wayne Bridge) includes, but is not limited to;

Demba Ba
Roque Santa Cruz
Shaun Wright-Phillips
Pablo Mouche
Steve Sidwell
Robbie Keane
Yakubu
Adam Hammill
Pascal Feindouno
Sasha
Kevin Gameiro
Denni Avdic
Carlos Kameni

And yet the only likely piece of business is Valon Behrami’s move to Fiorentina.

If we can get money off arsenal for upson we should sell sell sell. out of that list only SWP and Keane appeal need some tried and tested defenders brought in, i think bridge is a decent signing once he’s got a few games under his belt.

Santa Cruz looks to be a great signing for us, just what we need, just hope he gets back to the form he was in 2 years ago.
Has anyone seen Jermaine Jones play? We are meant to be signing him on loan in the next few days and I don’t know very much about him at all.

It will be quite interesting to see who Rovers actually get after the claims that Venky’s have been throwing around. It’s mental.

If Samba leaves, I will be at the point of tears. Met him a few times, a lovely man, and a great on the field presence. The deal being talked about with Villa was apparently a certain amount of money with Warnock going in the opposite direction, not too sure what to think about that to be honest.

Jermaine Jones was really good on a FIFA manager career I had with Fulham, but I don’t know too much beyond that.

Big move for Villa if it goes through.

I imagine that means that Danny Welbeck is joining the Mackems permanently.

Definitely suggests that, will Welbeck turn into the player that Bent is currently though? Risky move for them, imo.  Hell of a move for Villa though, there’s a lot of potential for the England team at Villa - Young, Downing and Bent is a nice little trio up front.

George Caulkin (respected Times NE correspondent) reporting that he is down there completing a medical ahead of an £18m pound move. Thoughts?

Mate told me about this just two minutes ago, I laughed at him and told him no chance Villa would be bidding that. Turn on SSN and Bent has handed in a transfer request after £18M bid.

The world’s gone mad.
